Delegate registration for IFFK to reopen on Dec 5



The delegate registration for the 16th International Film Festival of Kerala will reopen on December 5. Registration will remain open till December 7.
The delegate fee for those who register on these three days will be Rs. 600 against earlier rate of Rs. 400. The concessional rate of Rs. 200 will not be available for students registering during these days, an official release said.

Mumbai:  For Police Inspector Sachin Sawant the demise of Dev Anand is a personal loss, as Dev Sahab was no less than a father to him, he said. Sawant who co-owns a bungalow in Mahabelshwar with the actor said that he was unable to come to terms with the reality. Sawant said, "Dev Sahab's personal assistant had called me up to check if the news was true. I immediately contacted the actor but his cell phone was switched off, I then called Dev Sahab's son Sunil." Dev Anand's daughter Mona will by flying to London to be with her brother, the inspector added.

New Delhi: The six Indian Mujahideen operatives who were arrested by Delhi Police will be presented in a lower court on Monday. These IM operatives were arrested for their alleged involvement in Pune's German Bakery and Delhi's Jama Masjid blasts.
Their police custody ends on Monday.
The Police recovered 2 AK-47 rifles, a 9 mm pistol, 5 kgs of explosives and 64 cartridges from the accused.

'Evergreen' actor Dev Anand dies in London



Mumbai, Dec 4 (IANS) Evergreen star Dev Anand, one of the icons of Indian cinema, died Sunday after suffering a massive cardiac arrest in London. He was 88.
'His son Sunil came out of the bathroom and saw that Dev saab was not responding. He called the doctor, who said that he had a heart attack. He died at 10 in the night in London,' Mohan Churiwala, Dev Anand's manager, told IANS.
