To enable this, head on over to your profile settings,choose 'Expected: Child' from a list of options in the 'Family & Friends' tab (in a drop down that also lists brother, cousin, or other family members option), users can add list an expected child. To do so, users visit their profile, click “Edit Profile”, enter the Family & Friends tab, and under Family select to “Add another family member”. They can then select “Expected: Child” from the drop down, and then choose to enter a due date and name.
But if you click on the photo, it just redirects you the parent's profile.
While this does sound innovative at first, it's also creepy. “I'm not a fan. It's just too ... impersonal and unnecessary. A pregnancy, to me, seems like a very personal, intimate experience -- not something you need to broadcast to 500 of your not-so-closest "friends”, said one of the users.
Users have used this option for practical jokes too, listing their own Facebook Friends as their unborn child. Before Facebook fixed this glitch, it used to display only the Friend's name in the user's profile as their expected child. (MensXP.com)
