Pune murder: Accused granted anticipatory bail


New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Saturday granted Anushree Kundra four days anticipatory bail in the Juhi Prasad murder case. The court said after the period of bail granted to her expires, Anushree will have to appear before the court.
Prime accused in the Juhi Prasad murder case, Anushree's lawyer said she had sought this relief from the court. Her lawyer alleged that Nimesh, Juhi's fiancee, wanted to kill both Juhi and Anushree.
A 26-year-old lawyer, Juhi Prasad, related to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy was burned to death on October 13.
Angered by news of Nimesh and Juhi's engagement, Anushree allegedly set them on fire while they were asleep.

Police claim that on October 13, 26-year-old IT professional Anushree, went to the house of Nimesh Sinha her ex-boyfriend where a heated argument took place. She left the house only to return with petrol to set Nimesh and Juhi on fire.
Juhi died in hospital while Nimesh was released after treatment. But the victim's father said the boyfriend cannot be above suspicion.
"Why did he call just the two of them and not anybody else? He could have called in friends to mediate. Why did he keep the door open?" Juhi's father NA Prasad asked.
Anushree was allegedly angered after hearing about her former lover Nimesh's engagement to Juhi.
Anushree reached her Nimesh's Pune house and a heated argument broke out between Anushree and Sinha regarding the latter's impending marriage with Prasad.
The argument escalated after Juhi arrived and the trio stayed up till 4:30 am to discussing things.
While Nimesh and Juhi slept in the bedroom, Anushree allegedly woke up at 7 am and sourced petrol from a nearby area and allegedly set the couple ablaze at around 9:00 am while they were asleep.
