The Special Court at Bangalore today directed the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. J. Jayalalithaa to appear before it on the 22nd of this month in the disproportionate assets case.
Ms. Jayalalithaa has been directed to appear for completing recording of her deposition at the Parappana Agrahara Jail complex in the 66 crore rupees disproportionate assets case against her.
Justice B.M. Mallikarjunaiah accepted Ms. Jayalalithaa’s plea for postponing today’s proceedings and fixed November 22 for the next hearing.
The Senior Counsel for Ms. Jayalalithaa, B.Kumar moved an application seeking deferment of the hearing to another date in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directive last week.
Three other accused in the case, Mrs. Sasikala Natarajan, D. Sudhakaran and Ms. Ilavarasi were present in the Court today.
Ms. Jayalalithaa had appeared before the Court on October 20 and 21 to record her statements in the case. |
