Was put in jail for no reason: BS Yeddyurappa

Bangalore: Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, who walked out of jail on Tuesday after getting bail in both the land denotification cases, has said that he has done nothing wrong and was put in jail for no reason.

He also claimed that he will come out victorious in all five cases against him. There are five cases against Yeddyurappa. However, he was in jail in connection with only two cases.
Talking about his future with the BJP, Yeddyurappa said, "I have learnt a lot in the 23 days that I spent in jail. For 40 years I have been a politician and now I shall always be careful. I'll campaign for the party in Bellary, it's for the party to decide whether or not Sriramulu stands for the BJP. But I'll campaign for the party."
Yeddyurappa walked out of the jail after being granted bail by the High Court on Tuesday in the land denotification case.
The bail granted to Yeddyurappa in the third private complaint for alleged irregularities in denotifying government lands favouring his family members, came five days after he secured similar relief on the second complaint relating to similar charges.
