NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old woman was shot at twice by two unidentified assailants while she was alone at her residence around 10am on Tuesday. The incident took place at the Bijwasan area near Sector-23 in Dwarka. The woman, identified as Geeta, had recently divorced her husband and remarried.
Police said personal enmity seemed to be the reason behind the incident as nothing was found looted from the house. They said Geeta has been admitted at a local hospital and is in a critical condition. They have not ruled out the possibility of her relatives and first husband Bablu being involved in the incident. Her second husband Sanjit, a builder, is also being questioned.
The cops said on Tuesday morning two men pulled up outside Geeta's residence. They fired at her the moment she opened the door and fled from the spot.
