Mumbai:  In the wee hours of October 22, at the dizzying height of 36,000 feet, the passenger cabin of the Toronto bound flight AI 187 was turned into a makeshift delivery room for a truly miraculous birth.

Will continue 'maun vrat', says Anna in his blog












Ralegan Siddhi:  Gandhian activist Anna Hazare, who began an indefinite 'maun vrat' on October 17, has said in his latest blog that would continue with it for some more time. "Maun vrat helps me heal my body from within and outside," the anti-corruption crusader said, adding that his health still "doesn't permit me to give up my maun vrat."

Kolkata: 12 babies dead in 48 hours in government-run hospital












Kolkata:  It was a dark Diwali  for several families whose babies were admitted to Kolkata's BC Roy Pediatric Hospital. At least 12 infants have died in the last 48 hours - four of them on Wednesday. 

Angry parents blocked  a road outside the government-run hospital in North Kolkata on Wednesday, accusing the hospital of negligence.
