Following actor Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan's pregnancy, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has apparently approached 'original choice' Kareena Kapoor for his film.
There might be umpteen denials about this, but filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, sources close to actor Kareena Kapoor insist, has re-approached her to revive 'Heroine'.
The film was written with Kareena in mind, but she opted out of it as she had issues with the script. Post Aishwarya's pregnancy, the movie has been shelved due to lack of a powerful actor.
Though, officially the movie is not happening, buzz is that efforts are also on to send across the message that no one is indispensable.
"Kareena had got a feeler from Madhur saying he wanted to meet her regarding 'Heroine'. Madhur is a good friend of hers and she has always been accommodating towards him. She might give it another thought but she is unlikely to do it right now, as her schedule is choc-a-bloc," says a source.
Sources said last time the deal fell through as Madhur did not want to tone down the adult content of the film.
Kareena was not willing to do intense love making scenes that the script demanded. Also, she was against the concept of essaying a character that uses her sexuality to the hilt to get a job done.
Bebo had stressed on the fact that heroine cannot succeed unless she has talent and felt that was not coming across in the script. Madhur, who has written the screenplay, did not want to budge on certain portions. However, a lot was altered for Aishwarya.
"[Post Ash's exit] Madhur has told her that the new script is totally according to her demands and she will be able to relate to the role. Bebo listened to him patiently but has not committed anything. We do not know whether it was a meeting or a telephonic communication, but Bebo told us that Madhur approached her again [for 'Heroine']," the source added.
