New Delhi: A special court in Delhi has accepted all the charges levelled by the CBI against the 14 people and three companies accused in the telecom scam. The trial for these people will now begin.
Those accused include former Telecom Minister A Raja and Kanimozhi, the daughter of DMK chief M Karunanidhi.
The court has said the 14 people and three companies named in the CBI's chargesheet will be tried for charges including criminal conspiracy and forgery. Mr Raja and Ms Kanimozhi will also be tried for criminal breach of trust - which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Telecom companies Reliance Telecom Ltd, Swan Telecom and Unitech Wireles have been charged with criminal conspiracy and abetment in the case.
