Simultaneous raids were conducted at Sinh's Gole Market residence here and the Noida office of North East Television owned by him. Raids were held at the residence of Manoranjana Sinh, his former partner in NE Television.

Sinh was at his residence where the raids were conducted. He later visited the NE Television office in Noida.
The Sinh couple were the pioneers of the television industry in the northeast. Manoranjana Sinh, who was the chairperson of the network was removed from the post in 2008 as differences surfaced in their relations, according to advertisements released at the time in the northeast.
The maritial rift spilled over to the courts and the two traded charges in public against each other. The NE Television group has six channels now.
Matang Sinh, the minister of state in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in the Narasimha Rao government, was re-admitted to the Congress Saturday after over a decade.
A Rao loyalist, Sinh was suspended from the Congress in 2000 for 'anti-party activities' amdist reports that he was rallying partymen against party president Sonia Gandhi.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, who re-admitted Sinh to the party, said that he had been taken back in view of his 'contribution to the Congress in the recent assembly polls in Assam'. Before his re-admission, Sinh had met Gandhi at her residence.
