The actor is not keen to play the lead in 'Reluctant Fundamentalist' to be directed by Mira Nair
Not everyone has dreams to go international and our Kapoor lad is not one of them. The actor is apparently not keen to be a part of ‘Reluctant Fundamentalist’ to be directed by Mira Nair.
The film maker has been chasing the star for over the year to reprise the role of Changez Khan. The film is based on a novel written by Mohsin Hamid. “Mira was very keen to cast Ranbir because she felt that he would be able to do justice to the role. But the star has no time for the critically acclaimed director. Prateik has also auditioned for the role but there is no confirmation whether he is selected,” says a source.
The film will also have some Hollywood actors, though nothing has been finalized. Nair is however in talks with the Oscar winning sound engineer, Resul Pookutty. “Now that she is no longer doing 'Shantaram', she is concentrating on a start to finish schedule,” adds the source.
