New Delhi: As many as 930 police personnel from across the country were awarded police medals on the occasion of the Independence Day this year.
Seven personnel were honoured with President's Police Medal for Gallantry, 95 with Police Medal for Gallantry, 93 with President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 735 with Police Medal for Meritorious Service, the Home Ministry said in Delhi on Sunday.
Sixteen personnel were awarded Correctional Service Medal, one President's Correctional Service Medal for Gallantry, one Correctional Service Medal for Gallantry, two President's Correctional Service Medal for Distinguished Service and 12 Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service
