Next time, tell me to shut up: Omar Tweet

Jammu:  Farooq Abdullah was among the Cabinet ministers who have rejected the new Sports Bill that seeks more transparency from sports bodies, and limits the powers of those who head them.   Mr Abdullah was among five ministers who did not recuse themselves from the discussion on the Sports Bill despite their obvious vested interest because they head different sports federations.  All five opposed the main proposals of the Bill.

Mr Abdullah's son, Omar, who is the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir reflected the opinion of many when he tweeted this morning, "On a separate note, I believe the Union Ministers heading sports bodies should have excused themselves from the Sports Bill discussion."

When that post turned into a headline on many TV channels, Omar Abdullah took to Twitter again.  "And on a different note the next time I plan to tweet on what central cabinet ministers do, someone please tell me to shut up :-)"
