In Rajasthan, the State Congress Committee has suspended former Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna from primary membership of the party. Maderna is an accused in Bhanwari Devi case.
Earlier the CBI interrogated Congress MLA Malkhan Singh and Leela Maderna and their family members in Jodhpur yesterday, over their alleged involvement in Bhanwari Devi abduction case. Many important facts are understood to have been revealed during the five hour long interrogation. Malkhan Singh, however, denied to comment over the questioning in front of Media.
The accused Minister Mahipal Maderna was also called by CBI but he did not appear before it on medical grounds. He also submitted a medical certificate to CBI. Another accused in the case, Indira Vishnoi has been hospitalized following her ailment.
