Digital media services provider Komli Media today said that it has bought ZestADZ, a Chennai-based mobile advertising company for an undisclosed sum.
This is Komli's fourth acquisition in a year and completes its product suite which did not have any major presence in the growing mobile space, Komli's Chief Executive Prashant Mehta told PTI.
When asked about the financials, he said Komli bought a 100% stake in ZestADZ in the "multi million dollar" transaction.
A part of the money Komli raised in twin rounds of venture capital funding earlier was used to fund the acquisition, he said.
Incorporated in 2007 in the USA by three persons of Indian-origin, ZestADZ has achieved break even and is profitable now and has seen its revenues grow at "three digit" figures every year, he said.
All of ZestADZ's staff, including its founders, will be absorbed into Komli as part of the deal.
Komli will be investing in upgrading the platform, sales and business development, marketing and infrastructure of ZestADZ, Mehta said, without giving the quantum.
ZestADZ is operational in major geographies of the world and considers USA, Indonesia and India as its key markets. It presently gets over five billion impressions per month and in the next 12-18 months Komli is targeting to take it up till 50 billion,
