He received a formal letter from the ICC warning him.
Amir had broken the terms of his ban by playing for Addington 1743 in a Surrey Cricket League Division One game just five months into his ban.
"He was warned as to his future conduct and was reminded in the strongest terms of the conditions of his ban," ICC spokesman Colin Gibson was quoted as saying in Daily Mail.
Amir was also warned by the ICC after playing in a friendly in Pakistan in January, while provisionally suspended.
He is awaiting trial at a London Crown Court on cheating and corruption charges in relation to the spot fixing, that shook the cricketing world.
