Mumbai: A 26-year-old pilot was today arrested for allegedly harassing and assaulting his wife, police sources said.
A case has also been registered against the parents of Ashish Jaiswal, who is employed with a private airline, they said.
Preeti, in her complaint, alleged that she was regularly assaulted by Jaiswal since their marriage a year ago. The 24-year-old also claimed Jaiswal took her ornaments and hasn't returned them so far.
The woman said Jaiswal's parents were harassing her for the last six-seven months and demanding dowry.
Jaiswal has been booked under IPC Sections 498-A (harassment), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 34 (common intentions).
If needed, the pilot's parents would also be arrested after investigation, the sources added.
