Delhi court blast: Bomb dissimilar to the one used in May

New Delhi:  The Delhi police believes that the bomb used this week at the Delhi High Court is dissimilar to a bomb that exploded in a parking lot at the same courthouse in May this year.

The police is also preparing a third sketch of the suspect- two sketches were released earlier this week based on descriptions by eyewitnesses.

13 people were killed and more than 70 injured after a bomb placed in a briefcase at the court's busy Gate No 5 exploded on Wednesday morning.  The fact that no CCTV cameras had been installed at the court's nine gates despite the explosion in May have underscored a major security lapse.

The Delhi Police says that this week's explosive shows some similarities to the bomb used in the Mehrauli area of Delhi in September 2008. Two people were killed and 17 injured after two men on a motorcycle dropped off a bag containing the bomb at a flower market.
