BANGALORE: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa appeared before Lokayukta police on Wednesday in connection with alleged corruption in the Upper Bhadra project.
He met DySP Girish, the Lokayukta investigation officer. It is learnt that the former CM has been given a questionnaire and asked to give his statement in writing. One of the bail conditions for Yeddyurappa was to be present before the investigation officer whenever called.
On August 8, based on a complaint by JD(S) MLC YSV Datta, the special Lokayukta court directed Lokayukta police to register an FIR. Datta alleged that Murudeshwar Company, a subsidiary of RNS Group of companies, had paid Rs 13 crore to Davalagiri Properties Pvt Ltd and Sahyadri Healthcare and Diagnostics , owned by Yeddyurappa's family members.
