Temperature in Delhi falls again, minimum down to 6.4 degrees

New Delhi:  Delhiites woke up to a misty and chilly Wednesday morning and many wrapped themselves in jackets and shawls as the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below average. But a warm day has been forecast.

"Skies will remain clear and the afternoon will be quite warm. But by evening, a light veil of mist will envelop the city," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 23 degrees, the official said.

The humidity level in the morning stood at 77 percent.

On Tuesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 23.1 degrees and 7.1 degrees respectively.
