Anna Hazare's fast will benefit India's future generations: Baba Ramdev

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Wednesday said Anna Hazare's indefinite fast against corruption would benefit the whole country, especially the future generations.
"Hazare's fast will benefit the whole country and the future generations," Ramdev said at Ramlila Maidan where he visited the social activist on the ninth day of his fast to demand a stronger Lokpal Bill.

Ramdev said he was with the 74-year-old Gandhian for an hour to extend solidarity in his "fight against corruption" and make the system "transparent".
"The logjam should end soon," Ramdev said referring to negotiations between Team Anna and government representatives.
Calling for a "bigger struggle", he said the country must ensure justice to "farmers, poor and the oppressed".
"We have to change our system. We will have to prepare ourselves for a bigger struggle. We will have to ensure justice to farmers, poor and downtrodden," he said.
"Some people have betrayed the country. We have to fight against them. The wrongs committed in the last 64 years have to be corrected," he said.
Recalling the police action against him on the intervening night of June 4 and 5, he claimed because of the criticism of the police, it has not resorted to any such action this time.
"Because of the consequences of the police action then, the forces have not come here with batons this time," he said.
