Mumbai blasts probe: NIA questions 'Dr Bomb' in Ajmer
Ajmer: The investigations into the recent blasts in Mumbai have brought the National Investigating Agency (NIA) to Ajmer. On Sunday, the NIA team questioned Jalees Ansari, also known as 'Dr Bomb'.
Ansari is serving a life term for his role in the earlier Mumbai blasts; he was arrested in Mumbai in 1994 in a joint operation with the Gujarat Police.
Interestingly, last year in a raid in the Ajmer Central Jail, the police found Ansari had several SIM cards and a mobile with which he had made calls to Pakistan and the Gulf.
Ansari is from Nasik. He formed an extremist group with 12 others after Babri Masjid demolition.
