Tendulkar not the only 'modern legend' to miss out on Lord’s honours board

Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has joined a list of cricketers who have never scored a hundred or taken five wickets in a Lord’s Test, but he is not the only ‘modern legend’ to have missed out on the honours board at the 'home of cricket'.

According to the Daily Mirror, former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne never made it on to the visitors’ dressing room wall in gold leaf paint, nor did West Indians Brian Lara and Curtly Ambrose, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting or former Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.
Tendulkar, who has 99 international centuries to his name, has a top score of 37 at Lord’s. He scored 195 runs in five Tests at an average of 21.66.
Surely he won’t come back at the age of 40, if India qualify for the inaugural World Test Championship final in 2013.
