Ajay Devgn bails out Prakash Jha

The actor pulls out all stops to help his director friend whose film ‘Aarakshan’ has run into rough weather

With ‘Aarakshan’ publicity gone over budget and the film losing approximately Rs 35 crore in the opening week, Prakash Jha was in a fix. So he contacted his old friend Ajay Devgn to bail him out of the crises.

 Earlier, Ajay was supposed to play Saif Ali Khan’s role in the film but owing to some creative differenced with the director, Ajay walked out of the film at the last minute. It was then that Saif helped Jha out by stepping into his shoes. When Jha narrated his woes, Ajay called up his contacts and distributors to ensure that the film had a smooth sail. “Ajay pulled out all the stops so that Prakash Jha wouldn’t have to suffer losses. Though their fight dates back to their ‘Rajneeti’ days, Ajay has put all that behind him,” says a source.
