Hundreds of thousands of children are at risk of starving to death in Somalia according to the UK International Development Secretary, Andrew Mitchell.
On a visit to the capital Mogadishu he said it was a race against time to save those at risk and other countries should get more involved.
Oxfam is preparing to fly 47 tonnes of supplies into the area where refugees are facing a cholera outbreak.
The charity's Alun McDonald spoke to Morning Reports from the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
