CISF man shoots colleague, self at Metro station

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable posted with the Delhi Metro shot dead a female colleague at a Metro station in East Delhi on Friday morning, before killing himself.
Police said M Pillai and N V S Teja were “close friends”. Their families have been informed and a case of murder and suicide registered.
According to police, Pillai shot Teja around 7 am at the Yamuna Bank Metro station and then killed himself.

“The two were sitting on Platform Number 2 when Pillai fired at Teja with his AK-47 rifle. Barring some station cleaning staff, not many commuters were present there when the firing took place. There might have been a personal dispute between the two. We are investigating the incident,” said Bhairon Singh Gurjar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways).
Security personnel at the station said Teja was leaving for home after the night shift while Pillai had reported for duty in the morning.
