Patna: Bollywood seems to have been clouded by unwanted interference from politicos. Earlier it was Ajay Devgn`s `Singham` that went under the scanner before its release and now Prakash Jha’s ambitious project `Arakshan` - starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Prateik and Deepika Padukone - that is facing the political music.
After being engulfed in a series of controversies in Mayawati’s Uttar Pradesh, `Aarakshan` is now under the subjugation of Bihar’s Lalu Prasad Yadav.
The former Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu, while talking to a daily said, “If the people demand screening of the film, their wishes should be met forthwith to allay their apprehension about certain contents in the film that may hurt their sentiments."
According to Yadav, it would be wise on Prakash Jha’s part to hold a special screening of his upcoming film to clear the air rather than refraining from showcasing the same.
"The producer should also cross-check the contents of the film ahead of the release. Our society is caste-based, and there is bound to be opposition if there were to be derogatory contents in the film aimed at any section of the society," said Lalu.
