New Delhi: Amar Singh has been arrested in connection with the cash-for-votes scam. He was shifted from Tihar jail to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as his medical condition deteriorated.

He and two former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Singh Bhagora, were arrested on September 6 for their alleged involvement in an attempt to bribe MPs ahead of the July 2008 trust vote in Parliament.
