Bhubaneswar: In Orissa, at least 20 anti-POSCO protestors were injured as they were attacked by 200 lathi-wielding men near the proposed steel plant's site in Orissa.
The attackers were allegedly hired by the contractors assigned to build a coastal road along the beach from the Indian Oil Refinery complex to the port near the site of the proposed plant by the South Korean Steel giant Pohang Steel Company or POSCO.
The protestors against the POSCO road were attacked by stones and petrol bombs. They allege that the administration was now using contractors and their private militia to terrorise people.
