Shankar plans 'Indian' sequel

No one can forget Kamal Haasan’s role of a freedom fighter who raises his voice against corruption in ace filmmaker Shankar’s Indian.
The role fetched him a National Award. It featured Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar as Kamal’s love interests. The big news now is that Shankar is toying with the idea of making a sequel to Indian.


The director has revealed that he might do a sequel to his 1996 blockbuster Indian, after the release of Nanban.
“Producer AM Ratnam who made the original has been urging me to start the second part. Let’s see what happens after Nanban,” Shankar has reportedly said.
But whether Kamal would be roped in for the sequel is yet to be determined.
