New Delhi: Statistical highlights of the second One-day International between India and England.

India`s eight-wicket win is their biggest in terms of wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla, eclipsing their seven-wicket victory over New Zealand on November 17, 1999.

India have won with 80 balls to spare - their second largest in terms of balls to spare against England, next only to their triumph by four wickets with 123 balls to spare at Jaipur on October 15, 2006.

Virat Kohli (112 not out) posted his seventh century in ODIs - his second against England. Six of his hundreds have resulted in Indian triumphs.

Kohli`s magnificent innings is his second highest in ODIs - the highest being 118 against Australia at Visakhapatnam on October 20, 2010.

Kohli has completed 1,000 runs in a calendar year in ODIs for the first time, managing 1017 at an average of 44.21 in 26 matches, including three hundreds and six fifties.

Kohli has become the third player this year to aggregate 1,000 runs or more in ODIs, joining Jonathan Trott (1173) and Shane Watson (1075).

Kohli has received his first Man of the Match award against England - his sixth in ODIs.

Kohli, for the second calendar year running, hastop-scored for India in ODIs. Last year, he had totalled 995 runs at an average of 47.38 in 25 matches, including three centuries and seven fifties.

Gautam Gambhir (84 not out) recorded his fifth half-century against England - his 26th in ODIs.

Gambhir`s knock is his highest against England, surpassing the 70 at Indore on November 17, 2008.

Gambhir is averaging 42.41 against England. His tally includes 509 runs includes five fifties in 13 matches.

Gambhir is averaging 49.40 in winning cause in ODIs - 3211 runs in 75 matches, including six centuries and 21 fifties.

Gambhir and Kohli were associated in a partnership of 209 (unbroken) for the third wicket - India`s highest against England for any wicket, eclipsing the 192 for the first wicket between Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag at Colombo, RPS on September 22, 2002.

The partnership is India`s highest for any wicket at Feroz Shah Kotla in ODIs, eclipsing the 175 between Mohammad Azharuddin and Sachin Tendulkar for the third wicket against Sri Lanka on March 2, 1996.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become the first wicketkeeper to effect 30 dismissals in India-England ODIs - 22 catches + eight stumpings in 26 games.

Vinay Kumar (4/30) registered his best bowling performance in ODIs, eclipsing the 2 for 51 against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on May 28, 2010.
