Srinagar: A major mishap was averted when Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) detected three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in a bus near Jawahar tunnel yesterday.
The bus going from Srinagar to Jammu was stopped by CRPF personnel at 319 milestone for routine check-up; during the search, three unclaimed pressure-cookers containing explosives were detected.
After inquiry, the passengers told the CRPF personnel that two persons had got down from the bus at Kazigund. The IEDs have been defused.
