CBI team visits Shehla Masood's house for clues

Bhopal: Two weeks after RTI activist Shehla Masood was murdered, a CBI forensic team visited her residence on Monday in an attempt to recreate the scene of the crime. The CBI formally took over the case on Saturday.

The CBI on Saturday registered a case relating to the murder of Shehla who was shot dead outside her house in Bhopal.
The case has been registered against unnamed persons by Bhopal unit of the agency, CBI sources said in New Delhi. The Centre had received a letter from Madhya Pradesh government requesting for a CBI probe into the murder of Masood in Bhopal.
Official sources said the letter was received last week by the Department of Personnel from the state government. Shehla was shot dead when she was going towards her car outside the residence in posh Koh-e-Fiza locality in Bhopal on August 16.
Shehla was murdered on August 16 outside her house on her way to attend a protest in support of Anna Hazare. It is suspected that she was killed by some powerful persons against whom she had filed RTI applications.
The CBI is expected to question, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay among others. Tarun Vijay had earlier described Shehla Masood as a good friend.
Tarun Vijay had spoken to Shehla hours before she was killed.
