India to raise Fai's arrest with Pak: sources

According to sources, Fai's arrest will figure in foreign secretary level talks next week.
New Delhi: Sources have told CNN-IBN that India will take up the arrest of Pakistani spy Ghulam Nabi Fai with Pakistan.
According to sources, Fai's arrest will figure in foreign secretary level talks next week.
Sources also described Pakistan foreign minister's plan to meet Hurriyat representatives as routine.
India expressed concerns about Fai to US long ago
In a new twist to the spy saga of Ghulam Nabi Fai, CNN-IBN has accessed a letter that showed how the Indian Government had long ago flagged the US on Fai's activities.

In a letter to the US State Department, former Indian ambassador to Washington Siddhartha Shankar Ray expressed his deep concern over then President Bill Clinton's letter praising Ghulam Nabi Fai.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) held the 62-year-old separatist activist for alleged ISI links and for not disclosing he was an agent of Pakistan.
He was arrested on July 19 from his house in Fairfax in Virginia on charges of receiving hundreds and thousands of dollars from the Pakistan spy agency ISI and using them for lobbying at the Capitol Hill with the sole objective of moulding the view of American policy makers on Kashmir.
The Hurriyat leader, who is under house arrest since Wednesday, had also asked people to protest the alleged rape of a woman by two army men in Kulgam district earlier this week.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer said the situation across the valley was peaceful and there were no reports of any untoward incident so far.
Large number of police and paramilitary CRPF personnel have been deployed in Manzgam, which witnessed violent clashes on Friday over the rape allegations, and other sensitive areas of Kashmir to maintain law and order, he said.
