‘Mausam’ postponed

The film which was supposed to release this Friday will now release on September 23.

‘Mausam’ has run into rough weather again and the release of the film postponed by a week to 23rd September. On Wednesday, the cast came together to announce the decision after the Air Force sought changes in a 30-second action sequence.

Shahid Kapur’s new role

The IAF asked for the changes after few officials watched the film, directed by Pankaj Kapur, at a special screening in Delhi on Wednesday. Speaking at the press conference Shahid said, "We are here to announce the changed release date of our film to Sep 23. The reason for this is that we had applied for two permisions - a NOC (no objection certificate) from the IAF (Indian Air Force) and certification from the censor board. We got U-certificate from the censor board, but IAF gave us a conditional certificate because they wanted a 30-second scene from a particular sequence to be corrected." Shahid Kapoor who plays an IAF officer in the film.

Sonam on ‘Mausam’

Since producers were aiming for a premiere in Toronto and a worldwide release, they could not make changes and deliver prints across the world by this Friday. Pankaj Kapur added that the IAF has only sought minor computer graphic changes. “Content of the film has not changed, only a few details are altered,” he said.
