'Mumbai Bandh' if mill workers' demands not met: Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray will declare a Mumbai bandh if the government does not meet the demands of mill workers in the next two days.
Along with nine organisations representing mill workers, leaders from the Shiv Sena, rival Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party and the Republican Party of India participated in the procession, which started from Byculla in Central Mumbai and proceeded towards Azad Maidan in the south.
This opposition-sponsored rally was held to pressurise government for allocating government houses for textile mill workers.


On this occasion Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray demanded free houses for the mill workers who were job less, due to there mills being sold to different industries.
He stated that Shiv Sena has always supported the mill workers since the time of Bal Thakery and if the government does not agree to their demands in the next two days he shall declare 'Mumbai bandh' on August 1.
Other leaders along with actor Nana Patekar who present at this occasion supported him.
