Shahid Kapur will play the role of Chota Rajan in ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’ sequel.
The sequel to Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ is getting bigger by the day. After casting Akshay Kumar for the role of Dawood (played by Emraan Hashmi in the first part), the makers have approached Shahid Kapur to play the role of Dawood’s arch rival Chota Rajan.
Is Shahid's stalking Priyanka?
After the success of the first film, Ekta Kapoor had announced the sequel at an award function where a rough look of the lead hero was also unveiled. The film that goes on floors early next year is still looking for an actress who will be fit to play the role of Dawood’s girlfriend Mandakini. “The makers are very keen about casting Kareena for the role but it seems unlikely that the star will take up the project, knowing that she will also have to work with ex-lover Shahid Kapur,” said a source.
Shahid speaks out
However Shahid Kapur is having long meetings with Milan Luthria about his role and his look. “The role will have the same intensity as Shahid’s role in ‘Kaminey’ and the actor will get the same footage as Akshay,” added the source.
