New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has asked Baba Ramdev's prime aide Acharya Balkrishna to appear for questioning in a case under the Passport Act.
Mr Balkrishna, who was reportedly missing for the last few days, reappeared claiming he has applied for a UK visa and his travel documents are with that mission.
He said he was also consulting Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani and pleaded that any other date after 20 days may be given to him.
The CBI has rejected his plea and asked him to appear without his passport today.
Baba Ramdev's business empire comprises 34 companies which are controlled by Mr Balkrishna
