Los Angeles, Sept. 6 (PTI): Brazilian model Ana Araujo, the girlfriend of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, may become Daniel Craig’s leading lady in the new Bond film.
Araujo beat Naomie Harris for the role in the 23rd instalment of the 007 franchise which will begin shooting in India before moving elsewhere.
“Ana is really excited. It’s all very new to her but she is optimistic about the prospect of landing the role. It’s very much a case of watch this space,” a source from the franchise said.
Araujo has also expressed a desire to work with Craig.
“I’m now focusing on acting. I’ve got some major roles coming up. My ideal role would be to be a Bond girl and with Daniel Craig as my James Bond, he’s perfect and very handsome,” she said earlier.
The Bond 23 project is still in its early phase of production and yet to get a title. It is being directed by Sam Mendes.
