Shahid to turn weatherman to promote `Mausam`

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor will don the role of a weatherman and predict weather for a day to promote his upcoming flick `Mausam`.

According to sources, the IMD which gives weather forecast will soon teach Shahid the basics of the trade.

Shahid is planning to become an employee of the MeT department for one whole day and don the hat of a weather forecast man to promote `Mausam`, they said.

"`Mausam` is about seasons of love and not exactly about weather. However, the marketing team came up with this unique idea and everyone just loved it. We are working out the permissions," film director Pankaj Kapoor said.

`Mausam`, which has Shahid and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles, will release on September 16.
