SRK detained and fined by customs at Mumbai airport

Shah Rukh Khan was stopped and interrogated by the custom authorities at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport while he was returning with his family from London last Thursday.

SRK had gone on a vacation with his family to Holland and London. They seemed to have shopped excessively as they were carrying about twenty bags with them. The custom officials at airport stopped SRK for interrogating him regarding the excess baggage, but they let his family leave. The interrogation took a lot of time as SRK was carrying a lot of baggage.
Mr. Sameer Wankhede, the Deputy Collector of the customs and his team interrogated Shah Rukh Khan and fined him with a custom duty of approximately Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
Reportedly, SRK was not given any special treatment by the custom authorities and he was treated just like any other passenger.
