London: Like Steve Waugh, Wasim Akram has expressed surprise that neither Sir Garry Sobers nor Sir Vivian Richards made the ICC’s Test Dream XI.
The XI was chosen by fans worldwide, who voted on the ICC’s website.
“It’s indeed surprising that Sir Garry isn’t there... Also, that Viv didn’t make it... Over the years, I’ve been accustomed to seeing both in different Dream XIs,” Akram told The Telegraph, on Friday.
Akram is, of course, himself in the XI. The others are Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Sir Donald Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Kapil Dev, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Curtly Ambrose and Glenn McGrath.
